A quick nail art ‘thing’. Kinda reminds me of the sky with some fluffy white clouds. Polishes used were BarryM White and Blueberry Ice-Cream.

China Glaze - Adventure Red-y with Barry M Red Glittery on top has created this beautiful deep red that is so sparkly it’s distracting when I type.

Practical or Decorative?
When people see crochet items, do they think they should be useful and have a practical use or is it enough that it looks cute and looks nice on a shelf?
This has always been a dilemma for me. I personally hate things that have no use however when it comes to crochet, I much prefer making things that are cute and fun rather than things that have a practical use.
With that said, I would like to turn my hobby into a little pocket money to at least cover my wool costs so sometimes feel like I should be making things that people might actually be able to use and will buy. This however has left me with little enthusiasm or joy for crochet as I’m not making the things I love to make. i.e. cute animals and such.
I’ve decided to take a step back and have been making the things I want to and damn the consequences. It’s freed me up to make these cute little owls which I love however I still have that dark cloud hanging over me making me think I’m making rubbish that nobody but I will love.
What do you guys think, Practical or Decorative?

First Leopard Print nail attempt. It went alright I think. I used a selection of BarryM nail varnish. White, Lilac and Purple. I think they work well together. The Purple looks a little dark in these pictures thought. What do you guys think? Do you like?

Blue Nail Gradient with a fun and experimental thumb nail. I love this.. my only annoyance is that my index finger and middle finger are very similar in colour.
Polishes used where BarryM and China Glaze :)

Finally got my BarryM pastel nail varnishes… LOVE THEM. Also a white and another bottle of top coat as I was all out.

Just wanted to try my bright green out and this is what I ended up with. I’m quite happy with how it turned out however 3 coats of BarryM Green, 2 coats of OPI The ‘IT’ colour, one coat of OPI Alpine Snow and one final coat of Seche Vite top coat results in a lot of nail polish build up! I can see these getting caught and damaged very soon. What do you guys think? Like them?
